Fall Retreat
Some of the Blockheads were able to get away for a relaxing
fall retreat at Miki's cabin in Wyoming. It looks as though they are all having fun!

Peggy's BOM Finish
Here's my BOM from last year. It has been completed for a while and I gave mine to a family with three young kids that used to be my neighbors in Kaysville and then moved to a nearby town and now are moving to AZ. I think the little kids loved it and it's something they can have to remember me by.
I also thought it was a fun quilt to work on.

BOM Finishes
The Blockheads did this Block of the Month from Debbie Mumm's site last year.
I made mine entirely from my stash until I got to the border and the binding. This was a really fun project to do. I have had it back from the quilter for a long time. I have been slowly working on the binding and the hanging sleeve. It is finished! I will give it to the librarian at my school as she does so many nice things for everyone there. She is a frog lover, so I hope she enjoys this quilt!

Words of Wisdom
Slow Dance
Have you ever watched kids on the merry-go-round?
Or listened to the rain slapping the ground?
Ever followed a butterfly's erratic flight?
Or gazed at the sun into the fading night?
You better slow down, don't dance so fast.
Time is short-the music won't last.
Do you run through each day- on the fly?
When you ask, "How are you?"-Do you hear the reply?
When the day is done, do you lie in your bed
with the next hundred chores running through your
head?
You better slow down, don't dance so fast.
Time is short-the music won't last.
Ever told your child-"we'll do it tomorrow"?
And in your haste, not seen his sorrow?
Ever lost touch, let a friendship die
cause you never had time to call and say "Hi"?
YOu'd better slow down, don't dance so fast.
Time is short-the music won't last.

The Blockheads' Blog
This is the start of the Blockheads' first blog! I will be the blog master for a wonderful group of quilters who joined to share their love of quilting in 2003. The charter members were Barbara, Charlene, Lynn, and Toni.
We are all very different in our tastes in fabric and quilts, but that has helped us along the way.
We were joined later by PJ, Nancy, Sheila, Miki, Peggy, and Karla.
Barbara, otherwise known as BO is our fearless leader.
Stayed connected by checking our blog each time you log on! Lots of plans, dreams, excitement, quilting, recipes, photos, and more to come!
